This is a simple and very Jamaican restaurant. The cement-sided structure was built in the early 1980s; it's done with a beachfront motif and set within a grove of coconut palms and sea grapes. Patrons include mostly a cross-section of Jamaicans, including the occasional conference of librarians or nurses. Menu items -- everything is home style -- include complete dinners (fish, chicken, curried goat, oxtail, stewed beef, or lobster) with soup and vegetables, served politely and efficiently by a staff of hardworking waiters. A separate bar area off to the side dispenses drinks.
