Frommer's Review
These exclusive private waterfront villas -- built by American architect Debbie Moncure with her husband Braxton -- are an ideal retreat. Right on their own white-sand beach, with private pools, they are the ultimate in South Coast luxury. Caribbean Travel & Life even goes so far as to say they're Jamaica's best, though that's a bit of hyperbole. One local said that guests are "just married, just remarried, just ourselves, just ourselves and the kids, or just escaping the kids."
Set among lush foliage, these villas feel remote and secluded, yet lie only a 40-minute drive from Negril. Each villa is perfect for a honeymoon or romantic week; all are furnished with tub and shower combinations. Antique armoires and Irish linens provide additional grace notes. Two of the villas, Hermitage and San Michele, can even sleep up to eight guests. You dine on crystal and fine china, and each villa has its own staff, including a chef, a waiter, a gardener, laundry worker, maid, and night attendant. Guests of the various villas meet at The Treehouse -- a beach pavilion -- for drinks, waterfront lunches, to change bathing suits, or to mingle.
