Frommer's Review
You might drive right by this unassuming house sitting between Inlet and Raquette Lake. But don't, for inside is probably the best food in the southern Adirondacks. The quiet dining room faces a lake and is decorated in warm tones and has a stone fireplace; you could also choose to sit out on the screened-in deck. The ever-changing seasonal menu combines "comfortable old favorites" with more cutting-edge "contemporary creations." You might start with paper-wrapped shrimp served with mango marmalade sauce and follow up with something similarly inventive, like the triple meatloaf -- veal, beef, and pork baked with herbs and spices, wrapped in pastry, and served with an onion sherry sauce.
