For a top-notch full-service hotel and the nicest beach in town, my vote goes to this Radisson. Two Catalina macaws -- Rad and General -- greet you as you enter the high-ceilinged lobby, and the birds seem quite at home, surrounded by tropical plants. The landscaping around the pools is lovely, with plenty of palm trees and flowers, and the popular public beach just outside the hotel is great. The cabanas -- the "standard" rooms! -- are colorfully decorated with floral bedspreads and artwork with a fish motif. Those with beach views are the best, and those with ocean views are the most expensive. The suites, which are actually two-bedroom condos, are large, handsomely appointed units with sleeping for up to six, two full bathrooms, a full kitchen, and a spacious living/dining room. Get one that is above the third floor for the sake of quiet.
