Planning a TripGetting There -- Trains run about hourly to Spa from Liège, but you have to transfer at Pepinster; the ride by the fastest trains takes 54 minutes. Train information is available from SNCB (tel. 02/528-28-28; www.sncb.be). Bus no. 388 to Spa departs regularly from in front of Verviers-Centrale rail station on the main Brussels-Liège-Eupen line; the ride takes 40 minutes. By car from Liège, take A26/E25 southeast to junction 46, then follow the signs for Remouchamps, and from there take N697 east. Visitor Information -- The Office du Tourisme is at place Royale 41, 4900 Spa (tel. 087/79-53-53; www.spa-info.be), inside the 19th-century Pavillon des Petits-Jeux, in the center of town. The office is open April to September Monday to Friday from 9am to 6pm, and Saturday, Sunday, and holidays from 10am to 6pm; October to March, hours are Monday to Friday from 9am to 5pm, and Saturday, Sunday, and holidays from 10am to 5pm (closed Jan 1).
