Photographs of Imperial balls hang on the walls at this regal restaurant, and its sepia menu is adorned with the Czar's crown. Follow the noble tradition of a black caviar tasting, made up of three 10-gram servings and accompanied by either the Tsarskaya vodka or champagne. The food, as you might expect, is highly traditional: beef Stroganoff, which comes highly recommended; ukha (fish soup), served with homemade bread; olivye salad, composed of potatoes, meat, pickles, and onions in mayonnaise; and various fritters made of a variety of meats and seafood. European-style grilled fish is also available. For dessert try one of the homemade ice creams or sherbets, made on the premises.
