Review of PostkellerThis energetic and bubbly winter-only nightspot is in the basement of the Hotel Neue Post, with a decor of pinewood paneling, unbreakable chairs and banquettes, and a long bar area. Live music is occasionally offered. The management creates an array of midwinter theme parties from time to time, including toga contests, beach parties, and carnival Rio parties. A large beer begins at 4€ ($6.40). The only food offered is an array of simple platters and snacks. November through April, it's open daily from 4:30 to 7pm for après-ski fun; then it reopens as a nightclub from 9pm to 3am. | 3 stars | Frommer's Exceptional |
Frommer's ranks every hotel, restaurant, attraction, shop, and nightlife establishment it reviews for quality, value, service, amenities, and special features using a star-rating scale, an expression of the strong compare-and-contrast opinions that are a brand hallmark.
Other ratings provide stars based primarily on price and amenities; the Frommer's star rating is meant to quantify the kind of intangible, experiential elements that help travelers make informed decisions.
The "baseline" recommendation is zero stars--every hotel, restaurant, attraction, shop, and nightlife establishment that Frommer's chooses to review is recommended; otherwise, we simply wouldn't include it.
