Frommer's Review
About a block downhill from Church of the Holy Rude, the Golden Lion dates from 1786, when it was a coaching inn; but, its sandstone shell was greatly enlarged with the addition of modern wings in 1962. It's now one of the oldest and largest hotels in town and has improved and modernized most of its guest rooms. The rooms are simple and easy on the eye, and bathrooms are equipped with either tub or shower.
Facilities:
Restaurant; bar; room service; laundry service; dry cleaning; nonsmoking rooms
