Frommer's Review
This leading Cornish Riviera resort, the town's best address, stands on the main road into town amid a beautiful garden and within easy walking distance of Porthminster Beach. Large and imposing, the Porthminster is a traditional choice for visitors to St. Ives. With its 1894 Victorian architecture, it is warm and inviting. The spacious rooms are well furnished, although with a bland decor. Over the years the bedrooms have been considerably upgraded, and the standard of comfort is high here.
