Frommer's Review
If you want to splurge on one meal in St. Louis, do it here. Agreement is near unanimous that Tony's is the finest restaurant in the city. Open since 1946, it offers impeccable service, sublime Italian cuisine, an extensive wine selection, one of the cleanest and quietest kitchens on earth, and sophisticated, elegant dining. Star entrees include the lobster Albanello (served in a heavy, white-wine cream sauce with mushrooms and shallots) and various veal dishes, but everything is fabulous.
