Frommer's Review
Windjammer, set on 22 tropical hectares (60 acres) north of Reduit Beach, about a 15-minute drive from Castries, is a quiet, luxurious retreat, one of the most glamorous in the West Indies. The resort was designed with a vaguely Moorish motif, heavily influenced by Caribbean themes; tropical colors predominate. It's composed of a cluster of white villas climbing a forested hillside above a desirable beach. This is an all-suite/villa resort (the villas have private plunge pools), making it a good choice for families or anyone who likes a lot of space. Standard features include ceiling fans, fridges, and queen-size, king-size, or paired twin beds. The roomy villas offer separate living and dining rooms, full kitchens, CD players, and VCRs upon request. All bedrooms adjoin private bathrooms and open onto sun terraces. Some bathrooms have showers only.
The resort contains more restaurants per capita than most of its competitors. Papa Don's is an Italian trattoria specializing in pizza and pasta. Jammer's restaurant and bar is a nautically styled, informal bar/steakhouse/grill. Dragonfly serves Asian and West Indian food.
