Funky, irreverent, and friendly, this is one of the Dutch side's most enduringly popular bars/restaurants. The seafaring theme of the interior includes a soaring network of heavy timbers accented with soft yellows, blues, greens, and lots of nautical accessories. Come here for the bar, a wraparound affair that attracts good-natured expatriates and locals alike, and for the generous portions dished up by the hardworking kitchen staff. Lunches consist of sandwiches, pastas, and salads. (Especially good are the shrimp salad and the grilled chicken Caesar salad.) Main courses at dinner are more substantial, including filet mignon, pepper steak, surf and turf, and red snapper either charcoal-grilled or stuffed with shrimp and crabmeat and served with a white-wine cream sauce.
