Frommer's Review
Although it requires a few minutes walk to reach the gorgeous white-sand beach, this is one of the most attractive and appealing hotels at Orient Bay. It's set on a steep, carefully landscaped slope, and designed like an upscale and rather charming condo complex. Seventeen colonial-style villas are scattered around the tropically landscaped grounds and pool; each villa contains a suite and two studios, which can be rented separately or combined. The spacious units are stylishly furnished in a South Seas/Polynesian/Creole theme, complete with hand-painted or hand-stenciled murals, and each sports its own ocean-view terrace. Studios have kitchenettes and queen-size or twin beds; the suites have separate bedrooms with king-size beds, spacious living rooms, full kitchens, and beautifully tiled full bathrooms.
Café Plantation serves French and Creole dinners. At lunch, clients use an in-house ID card to buy French/Creole/international meals at any of five beachfront restaurants loosely associated with the resort.
