A pleasant hotel whose architecture evokes a Tuscan villa, this establishment was built more than a century ago and has been in the Degiacomi family for some 40 years. It doesn't cost as much as either of its more glamorous neighbors, the Kulm and Badrutt's Palace. The Eden, which opens onto a tiny but charming plaza in the center of town, is filled with pine-wood paneling and family antiques. Each of the simple and modernized midsize bedrooms has tasteful, conservative furniture, and all units come with a midsize private bathroom (some with complete tubs). The hotel dining room is only open to hotel guests.
