If the Publick House is full, try the EconoLodge, 682 Main St. (tel. 508/347-2324), the Comfort Inn & Suites, 215 Charlton Rd. (Rte. 20) (tel. 508/347-3306), or the Sturbridge Coach Motor Lodge, 408 Main St. (tel. 508/347-7327). The first two are located near Exit 9 off I-84, the third near the entrance to Old Sturbridge Village. The Old Sturbridge Village Motor Lodges, part of the namesake facility described above, has around 60 rooms, but was closed indefinitely in 2006 due to money problems.
