Frommer's Review
The Steigenberger Graf Zeppelin is the market leader in Stuttgart, attracting the Porsche crowd, but this government-rated five-star hotel wins the race for charm and tranquillity. Its location is in a landscaped park, although it is close to the Königstrasse shopping zone. Listed as one of the "Leading Hotels of the World," it's only a few minutes from the central train station on foot. The epitome of luxury living in Stuttgart, it is an oasis of charm and grace, with the town's most enjoyable hotel dining and drinking facilities.
Bedrooms and suites are elegant with individual character, tasteful fabrics, comfortable furnishings, and deluxe bathrooms with tub and shower. The on-site Zirbelstube offers a grand cuisine under the direction of Bernhard Diers and his team of talented chefs. Innovation and craftsmanship mark the cuisine. In summer the Restaurant am Schlossgarten with its outdoor tables is one of the most romantic places for dining in Stuttgart. There is also a wine bar serving an innovative Mediterranean cuisine, with perhaps the finest wine carte in Stuttgart.
