If you're not supposed to judge a book by its cover, perhaps you'll extend the same courtesy to this hotel, one of the most affordable in town, long attracting the frugal traveler to its location opposite both the rail and bus stations. Behind a plain facade, it is a bastion of comfort and convenience, its front rooms opening onto the harbor. The small-to-midsize bedrooms are more inviting than stylish, and though the furnishings are in plain Nordic design, they are nonetheless suitable for an overnight stay. Only breakfast is served, but it's a generous one; and there are many taverns and restaurants nearby for lunch or dinner.
