Frommer's Review
The Rockpool is an institution in Sydney and is known for its inventive food. It's approached by a steep ramp and opens up into two stories of ocean-green carpet, designer chairs, and stainless steel. Along with the bar, the kitchen -- with its busy chefs and copper pots and pans -- is very much at the center of things. Rather than serving individual courses, the restaurant favors many smaller offerings. On the chef's menu tasting expect the freshest fish, oysters, quail eggs, abalone, clams, oysters, and all sorts of delicacies, which are expertly parceled-out and served. It's really worth checking out the website and booking well in advance. It's a true Sydney dining experience -- if you can afford it!
