Frommer's Review
Right on Bondi Beach, overlooking the Pacific, the Swiss-Grand is the best hotel in Bondi. It occupies a unique position overlooking the waves and sand of one of Australia's most famous cultural icons. The lobby is grand indeed, with high ceilings and stylish furniture. A renovation in 2002 made each room into a suite, with separate bedroom and living room. All suites are spacious, and each comes with a rather luxurious bathroom. All rooms have two TVs; some have Jacuzzis. All oceanfront units have balconies. The general sumptuousness of the accommodations and a terrific day spa help make this a fine place to stay. It's popular with American and European travelers with a bit of money to spend.
Facilities:
2 restaurants; rooftop and indoor heated pools; fitness center; Jacuzzi; tour desk
