In all, around 55 koalas roam within the park’s leafy boundaries (it’s set in 4 hectares/10 acres of rainforest). Free koala cuddling sessions take place at 10:20 and 11:45am, and 2 and 3pm daily. There are wombats, dingoes, kangaroos, wallabies, emus, and native birds here, too. The sanctuary also has live sheep shearing at 10:30am and 2:30pm each day. Allow 1 1/2 hours to get here by public transport from the city center or about 30 minutes to drive.
