Perched on the side of a hill in the Cité de l'Air housing development above the airport, Charlie and Margarite Bredin's simple but clean and friendly bed-and-breakfast commands a spectacular view of Moorea from its lovely, open-air guest lounge. Unfortunately, you won't get this view from any of the rather dark rooms, which range from ample motel-size units with king-size beds and private bathrooms down to tiny shared-bathroom units barely big enough to accommodate a double bed. All rooms have fans and electric mosquito deterrents, and all showers dispense hot water. The house is a steep, 5-minute climb from the round-island road, but Charlie will pick you up from the airport or the bus stop. Charlie and Margarite speak English as well as French.
