Getting There
By Plane -- The nearest airport is the Dala Airport, at Borlänge, 60km (37 miles) to the east. There are no buses into Tällberg, but the trains that run between Stockholm's Arlanda Airport and Mora stop in Tällberg. Arlanda Airport (in Stockholm) is a 3-hour train ride away.
By Train -- Trains from Gothenburg take about 7 hours, with a change in Börlange. There are direct trains daily from Stockholm, but with many stops; the trip time is about 3 1/2 hours. Trains also make the 10-minute run between Leksand and Tällberg. Call tel. 771/75-75-75 for information.
By Bus -- There is no direct bus service from Stockholm or Gothenburg. Bus passengers get off at either Leksand or Rättvik, where local bus connections can be made. Call tel. 0200/21-82-18 for information.
The bus and train stations here lie 2km (1 1/4 mile) from the densest cluster of hotels, but most hotels can arrange a shuttle van to pick you up. If you prefer taking your own car, you can call for a driver through tel. 0247/147-00.
By Car -- Take the E18 expressway northwest from Stockholm; then turn onto Route 70 toward Börlange and drive all the way to Tällberg, a 3-hour drive.
