Frommer's Review
In addition to its excellent cuisine, this restaurant and club offers a sweeping view of Taormina and the Ionian Sea and is framed with reproductions of ancient Roman columns. It lies on the winding road leading downhill from Taormina, between Campo Sportiva (a soccer field) and Parcheggio Lumbi, the public parking lot. The place has a ritzy feel, especially if you dine on the terrace overlooking the sea -- one of the most beautiful settings around. Menus present classic and modern cuisine ideas almost in equal measure. Among the more stimulating dishes is swordfish with mussels, sliced potatoes, and an aromatic touch of saffron. The platter of smoked fish comes with a citrus-flavored olive-oil sauce and warm bread.
