From the coastal highway, you won't be able to see very much of this spectacular lodging -- only a rooftop and masses of bougainvillea. You'll register on the top floor, and then ride an elevator down to sea level for access to a stylish, airy set of marble-sheathed public rooms. The hotel is very elegant, genuinely charming, and well staffed. Big windows let in cascades of light and offer views of the coast. Guest rooms are well furnished, filled with wicker and veneer pieces along with original art and wood or tile floors; most have panoramic views.
