To call Tarazona the "Toledo of Aragón" may be a bit much, but it does deserve the name "Mudéjar City." Located about halfway along the principal route connecting Zaragoza to the province of Soria, it is laid out in tiers above the quays of the Queiles River. Once the kings of Aragón lived here, and before that, the city was known to the Romans. You can walk through the old barrio with its tall facades and narrow medieval streets.
