One of the great bargains of Tarifa, La Calzada attracts those who prefer to stay near the town's main square rather than at one of the surfer joints along the beach. Formerly a private home, it was converted at the dawn of the millennium into this little inn. Bedrooms are small but well maintained and comfortably but basically furnished. Decor relies for the most part on colorful Andalusian tiles. Each room contains a tiny tiled bathroom with shower and not much room to spread out your stuff. You can easily walk to the restaurants, tapas bars, and attractions of town. Don't expect too much and you should be delighted here, at least when it comes time to pay the bill.
