Although the Punta Azul wins for its beautiful garden and location, this hacienda is the second best in the area. It will house you in style and comfort at a point 16km (10 miles) southwest of Algeciras and 11km (6 1/2 miles) northeast of Tarifa on the road to Cádiz. An informal inn with good beds and excellent regional food, it also offers a pool surrounded by olive trees and terraces. The hotel still evokes the era (1955) in which it was built. The small rooms are modest but streamlined, each with a small tiled bathroom. The provincial dining room overlooks the garden.
