This charming restaurant is an eclectic Mexican mix of adobe, brick, and wood with decor that includes regional art, old black and white photos of Mexican and American entertainers, and some kitsch memorabilia. There are a number of romantic balcony tables lit with candles and lamps after dark. The hearty fare includes cecina taxqueña (thin strip steak served with guacamole), pollo al adobe (chicken with onions, green chili, and ham diced with grated cheese and cooked in aluminum foil), and enchiladas prepared anyway you want. A guitar player/singer performs weekend nights, and brunch is offered on Sundays.
