Sailing

Small motorboats, pedal boats, and rowboats are available to rent by the hour on the lake at Yarkon Park, near Yehoshua Gardens (tel. 03/642-0541) at the northern end of the city, daily from 9am to 6pm. Motorboats are NIS 90 ($20) per half-hour; pedal and rowboats are NIS 63 ($14) per full hour. At the Tel Aviv Sea Center, in Marina Atarim (tel. 03/524-2139), in front of Namir (Atarim) Square between the Carlton and Hilton hotels, you can rent a sailboat by the hour, with or without a skipper. Windsurfers are NIS 20 ($20) per hour; kayaks and small sailboats are NIS 225 ($50) per hour; and catamarans NIS 293 ($65) per hour. You can also hire a boat with instructor, captain, or crew. The marina is open from 9am to 5pm daily.
