Frommer's Review
From 1925 to 1933, this was the home of the first great modern Hebrew poet, Haim Nachman Bialik. The 94 books he wrote, with translations in 28 languages, are here, as are articles, correspondence, paintings, photographs, and an archive of hundreds of his manuscripts. If you understand Hebrew or Yiddish, the guides can tell you many interesting stories about the famous writer; there is a brief English brochure on the house, though display descriptions are not yet in English. Despite the lack of English explanation, the decor and atmosphere of the house gives you a feel for the world of the cultured, European-oriented Tel Aviv community of the 1920s. A wonderful collection of paintings by Jewish artists from the pre-State of Israel era, filled with visions of the life and landscape of British Mandate Palestine, is an additional pleasure at this gem of a museum. Combine this stop with a visit to the neighboring Rubin Museum.

Frommer's ranks every hotel, restaurant, attraction, shop, and nightlife establishment it reviews for quality, value, service, amenities, and special features using a star-rating scale, an expression of the strong compare-and-contrast opinions that are a brand hallmark.
Other ratings provide stars based primarily on price and amenities; the Frommer's star rating is meant to quantify the kind of intangible, experiential elements that help travelers make informed decisions.
The "baseline" recommendation is zero stars--every hotel, restaurant, attraction, shop, and nightlife establishment that Frommer's chooses to review is recommended; otherwise, we simply wouldn't include it.
