Frommer's Review
This excellent, sophisticated Chinese restaurant could compete with the best of them in New York or San Francisco. Owner Israel Aharoni, at the forefront of Israel's restaurant revolution, has designed a menu more authentic and inventive than is usually found in a Chinese restaurant for Westerners. Aharoni recommends the sliced pork in spicy garlic sauce as an appetizer; I enjoyed the spicy cucumber salad. Duck dishes are famous here; try the duck in honey garlic sauce. Among other dishes you won't find at most Israeli Chinese restaurants are Szechuan-style calamari, beef in anise, and crab done in a number of interesting styles. You can come for dim sum daily from 4 to 6pm. Special dishes, such as smoked duck, must be ordered in advance and are in the NIS 180 ($40) price range. A large selection of interesting but westernized Vietnamese dishes has been added to the menu.
