Frommer's Review
This is a restaurant that can make you fall in love with spaghetti. It has more than 50 kinds of interesting sauces, ranging from traditionals such as carbonara to unusual creations such as an olive oil-based sauce filled with breast of tender, fresh sautéed chicken, dill, garlic, and lemon; or a salmon and asparagus sauce with white wine and nutmeg. Soups and salads, like the spaghetti dishes, are filled with fresh herbs and vegetables and are hefty in size. For dessert, there's a choice of pannecotta, Italian ice creams, and al dente spaghetti with dark chocolate, ice cream, and brandy sauce. The food is delicious, filling, and imaginative; even the restaurant's charge of NIS 9 ($2) for home-style bread does not seem unfair. A selection of Israeli and imported wines is available. Note: A second branch is located at 48 King George St. (tel. 03/620-7666).
