Frommer's Review
This hotel restaurant overlooks the Mediterranean and is the most stylish kosher eatery in Israel. Elegantly simple, calmly innovative, and without a drop of tacky glitz in its decor or menu, the Olive Leaf is a great opportunity for kosher (and nonkosher) visitors to experience good contemporary French cuisine. The menu constantly changes, but is always more innovative and light than those at the more predictable kosher French restaurants of the neighboring Dan and Hilton hotels. There's always a strong beef filet and a mullard (duck/goose hybrid) choice, as well as excellent appetizers. The wines are overseen by a sommelier. A dessert cart is lavish and worthwhile, especially for those guests who keep kosher. Service is included in the prices; guests of the Sheraton who pay in foreign currency are exempt from the additional 17% VAT.
