Frommer's Review
The food at this stylish, but relaxed restaurant is excellent, wide-ranging, sophisticated but unpretentious, and served in generous portions. There are good salads, country soups and appetizers -- look for goat cheese and mushroom ravioli or tasty, Mediterranean calamari salad. The main courses alone, including salad, vegetable and potato, can keep you satisfied. Meats are very strong here: The prime rib of roast beef, and the spare ribs in a spiced, coffee-flavored sauce top the list; steaks are excellent; and even the American hamburger plate is rewarding. Other good choices include fresh whole fish, carefully fried and served on a bed of potato puree dotted with mushrooms, and fresh, seasonal vegetables; traditional roast goose; or any of the seafood dishes. The desserts are truly excellent and the apple pie is the best in Israel.
