The high-rise Crowne Plaza caters to business travelers but offers direct access to the beach. Decor is light, early '90s. There's a highly praised business center and better-than-average in-hotel restaurant services. When this guide was published, guest rooms were in need of renovation. Most have balconies, and some are accessible to travelers with disabilities. The inventive, upper-bracket Pacific Grill Bistro serves an unusual menu with interesting Pacific Rim/Asian touches; there's also an English-style pub. An indoor pool means year-round swimming. Deluxe rooms have Jacuzzis.
