Frommer's Review
Only an eighth of a block from the beach, this might be the prettiest boutique hotel in the country. Opened in 2001 (just when tourism took a dive), so it's not yet overly worn, the de la Mer has a variety of suites and standard rooms that are carefully designed and laid out according to the precepts of feng shui. Triple-glazed windows, air conditioning, and a location just far enough in from Ha-Yarkon Street keep the blare of traffic at bay. Some rooms have sea views, others are accessible, and the junior suites with terraces are among the most attractive accommodations at any price in Tel Aviv. There's no gargantuan Israeli breakfast buffet, but a very adequate morning meal is served in a cozy breakfast room, and tea and coffee are available gratis round the clock. A tiny spa opened in 2006.
