Frommer's Review
Two legendary world-traveling sisters from South Africa founded this craft shop filled with a constantly changing array of one-of-a-kind folk and tribal craft items the owners personally collect on their expeditions. Their eye for beautiful objects is excellent, and their bargaining abilities must be extraordinary. You never know what the stock will be like. There are special receptions with delightful snacks whenever a new caravan load of goods comes in; ask if any of these gatherings will be coming up and if you can have an invitation. The receptions are a good opportunity to buy collector items and to mingle with Israelis who share an interest in ethnic art and exotic travels. The shop makes museum-quality reproductions of ethnic jewelry and serves free exotic coffee and Yemenite tea while you browse. Prices range from under NIS 30 ($7.50/£3.75) to more than NIS 4,000 ($1,000/£500). It's open Sunday to Thursday from 9am to 1pm and 4 to 7pm; call about Friday hours.
