A favorite of local ski bums with big appetites and near-empty wallets, Fat Alley offers a variety of hickory-smoked meats, sandwiches, burgers, and vegetarian items. In a small, simply decorated, cafe-style restaurant, it delivers spicy pork spare ribs or beef ribs by the rack or half rack, and whole, half, or quarter roast chicken. Sandwiches include smoked brisket, chicken, or pork shoulder; and vegetarian entrees include a ziti and black-bean plate. It's also worth a visit just for the peach cobbler.
