Frommer's Review
This luxury property, with 30 rooms and suites plus six condo units, has a perfect location -- it's ski-in/ski-out, only steps from the town gondola, and also within 2 short blocks of the main shopping and dining section of historic Telluride. The hotel rooms -- even the smallest, least expensive ones -- are spacious, with the feel of upscale condo units, and all have high-speed Internet and two-line phones with voice mail. All units have cherry-oak furnishings, Italian marble bathrooms with oversized tubs, CD players, and gas fireplaces. All the condos and suites and all but four of the hotel rooms have balconies, with views of either the town or mountains. Rooms have quality beds (mostly kings) on pedestals (step stools are available on request). The simple but tasteful decor includes nature prints and black-and-white photos of the area. The one-, two-, three-, and four-bedroom condos are huge, with complete kitchens, washer/dryers, jetted tubs and showers, and heated towel racks.
The continental breakfast includes the usual fresh fruit, juices, coffee, tea, and cereals, plus excellent baked goods from an on-site bakery. Afternoon refreshments are served during ski season. Other amenities include a 25-foot outdoor jetted hot tub that offers great views of the nearby mountains, a sporting-goods store, and ski storage and ski valet services. The entire property is nonsmoking.
