Considered the Cinque Terre’s only resort, this 4-star hotel is spectacularly positioned upon the cliffside overlooking the village, cemetery, and blue sea below. The addition of a pool and spa have helped make it the most expensive accommodations in the area, too. Most of the rooms are small and in need of a revamp, but once you step out onto your private balcony suspended above the Mediterranean, you can easily forgive the hotel’s shortcomings. The pleasant restaurant serves typical Ligurian dishes, and in the warm weather you can have the best seat in town on their cliffside patio. Prices are high even for a “back, small non-seaview” room; we suggest splurging if you can to enjoy the full experience.
