Topping Rose House, renovated in 2013, has revitalized its storied past and exceeds expectations with painstaking attention to detail combined with thoroughly modern luxury hotel accommodations. The 1842 Greek Revival-style inn and restaurant (headed by celebrity chef Tom Colicchio) is a masterful blend of historic and modern architecture, old world charm, and new world attitude. The unabashedly industrial-modern cottage suites open to adjoining courtyard areas and a rustic vaulted barn that serves as a special dining room for private parties. The seven rooms in the Main House, two one-bedroom suites, three king rooms, and two twin rooms which can be converted to kings, are traditionally appointed. The Studio offers three studio king guest rooms located above the spa, operated by Naturopathica, which offers treatment rooms exclusively for hotel guests in addition to in-room treatments. All cottage accommodations feature private outdoor space, either a patio or roofdeck, and easy access to the fitness center below. All rooms are outfitted in Frette linens and Naturopathica bath products.  Despite the trending popularity of the main floor restaurant among well-heeled Manhattanites, the overall vibe of the inn is low-key. Topping Rose House is open year-round.
