Lenox & Tanglewood
Many inns have dining rooms. In particular, Blantyre (tel. 413/637-3556) is worth a splurge. Most of the restaurants recommended serve lunch, in a region where many don't open until evening. On the other hand, restaurants here are apt to close for an unpredictable few weeks or months in winter, so always call ahead.
Williamstown
A new Jae's Inn (tel. 413/458-8032), has opened a mile south of the town center, at 777 Cold Spring Rd. (Rte. 7). While it was too new for review in this guide, there's every reason to believe it is comparable in style and food to its accomplished sibling in North Adams.
