Zagora's first hotel was built in 1950 and has been under the management of the Zouzi family since 1969. The old dame has definitely seen grander times, but her large rooms are still the budget traveler's best option in Zagora. Travelers have a choice of rooms with shared bathrooms, private bathrooms, or private bathrooms and air-conditioning. The hotel's public areas are very popular, with a separate bar and restaurant serving an outdoor area that includes shaded tables and a swimming pool. A three-course set menu for 90dh is a pretty good value, offering eggplant salad, beef tagine or vegetable couscous, fresh fruit, and more. The beer here is cold and cheap.
