This cozy Colonial actually does date from 1708 and you can stay in the original 18th-century rooms. The inn has just four rooms (nos. 1-4) in this style: They're not the world's largest, but they have original wood floors and exposed-beam ceilings, along with beautiful four-poster beds and claw-foot tubs. The other rooms were added in 1996 and are also decked out in gorgeous furniture and wood floors, but they're more modern. The cottages are beachy and contemporary.
