RestaurantsIn Leesburg I get my morning caffeine fix at Market Street Coffee, 19 W. Market St. (tel. 571/258-0700), and afternoon tea at Mrs. Tate's Bake Shop & Tea Room, 7 S. King St. (tel. 703/669-0912), which also serves light lunches. Totaled by a Triumph -- The best barbecue in Leesburg is at The Mighty Midget Kitchen, 202 Harrison St., at Royal Street (tel. 703/777-6406), one of the country's smallest restaurants at only 8 feet wide by 6 feet deep. The original building, part of a World War II bomber, was totaled in 1959 during an encounter with a Triumph sports car. The present building is made from the aluminum remnants of another B-29, rivets and all. There are a few outdoor tables; otherwise, get your barbecue, smoked kielbasa, fish sandwiches, and hot dogs to go. Open Tuesday to Thursday 11am to 7pm, Friday and Saturday noon to 8pm (to 7pm in winter), Sunday noon to 4pm -- or until the barbecue runs out. Most items range from $3 to $7. In Middleburg My favorite place for tasty salads, sandwiches, or a pizza is Back Street Cafe & Catering, 4 E. Federal St. (tel. 540/687-3122), which has outdoor tables in warm weather. The dinner menu adds pasta main courses. It's open Monday to Saturday 11:30am to 2:30pm and 5 to 9pm.
