Built in 1984, this four-story brick, stone, and concrete structure is one of the most modern hotels in the Shetlands. It's opposite the ferry terminal and has a nice view of the harbor. The good-size guest rooms are well furnished. The two on-site restaurants offer local fish and vegetarian items. It has been upgraded and much improved in the wake of the Shetland oil boom, when oil executives often filled up its rooms.
