Frommer's Review
This is our favorite of three interrelated, side-by-side resorts, each of which is managed by the France-based Karibea Hotel Group. Opening directly onto the sea and a beach, it's a winning choice and imbued with a tropical ambience and a welcoming staff. In the south, this property enjoys a scenic location on a natural cove with a beach. Accommodations are found in buildings rising three floors, the upper levels reached by stairs in lieu of an elevator. The main feature of the hotel is its lovely pool, and the entire complex is set in well-landscaped tropical gardens. Many units open onto balconies, and are equipped with full kitchenettes. Cane furniture and West Indian decorative motifs are used throughout. Each room comes with two bathrooms with shower. The on-site restaurant's not bad, although not something you need to seek out if you're not a guest. The names of this hotel's two sister resorts include the Karibéa Amyris and the Karibéa Caribéa. Each is within walking distance of the other, and clients at one tend to mingle around the amenities of each of the three. When their room count is combined, the three hotels have a total of 300 units.
