Shinjuku Ni-chome (pronounced "knee-chomay"), southeast of the Yasukuni Dori and Gyoen Dori intersection (behind the koban and Bygs Building), is Tokyo's gay and lesbian quarter, with numerous establishments catering to a variety of age groups and preferences and a lively street scene.
