Frommer's Review
Unlike the other galleries listed, this one has an unlikely home in the Roppongi nightlife district. Actually, it consists of five small galleries spread on several floors of two adjoining buildings, most of them dealing in cutting-edge, contemporary Japanese and international art. Among them, Ota Fine Arts (tel. 03/5786-2344) is probably the most well established and represents Yayoi Kusama, Tsuyoshi Ozawa, and other big names in contemporary Japanese art. And with the nearby Mori Art Museum and the new National Art Center (slated to open in 2006), Roppongi may just be the future's art scene. Open Tuesday to Saturday 11am to 7pm.
