Planning a TripGetting There -- From Tucson, take I-10 E to Benson and then Arizona 80 S to Tombstone. From Sierra Vista, take Arizona 90 north to Arizona 82, heading east. Visitor Information -- The Tombstone Chamber of Commerce (tel. 888/457-3929 or 520/457-3929; www.tombstone.org) operates a visitor center at the corner of Allen and Fourth streets. Special Events -- Tombstone's biggest annual celebrations are Ed Schieffelin Territorial Days, in mid-March; Wyatt Earp Days, in late May; and Helldorado Days, on the third weekend in October. The latter celebrates the famous gunfight at the O.K. Corral and includes countless shootouts in the streets, mock hangings, a parade, and contests.
